Consultant Service Desk
Role Purpose
To deliver prompt and effective first-level IT support to end-users by resolving hardware, software, and service-related issues. The role includes managing IT helpdesk tickets, coordinating with vendors, handling IT asset movements, processing IT service bills, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth and efficient IT operations with a strong focus on user satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide helpdesk support and resolve IT issues to the end-user’s satisfaction.
- Work on IT helpdesk ticketing applications to log, track, and close service requests and incidents.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software problems across desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Install and configure hardware, software, and peripheral systems.
- Guide users through step-by-step troubleshooting and problem-solving processes.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level IT support teams when required.
- Document IT issues, resolutions, and maintain the IT knowledge base.
- Prepare and maintain monthly IT-related bills (e.g. MGIT, Printer, IT services, Tata bills).
- Prepare and maintain employee clearance data for exit formalities.
- Maintain and update the IT scrap list and assist in asset disposal processes.
- Prepare and manage delivery challans and handle transfer documentation of IT assets.
- Coordinate with Dell and HP support teams to log, track, and resolve hardware-related issues (Lock the Issue process).
- Maintain IT inventory records and asset management data.
- Regularly update and maintain IT process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure timely maintenance of IT hardware, including regular system health checks, preventive maintenance, and coordination with vendors (Dell, HP, etc.) for repairs and replacements to minimize system downtime.
- Perform timely hardware maintenance and preventive checks to ensure smooth functioning of IT equipment.
- Log and follow up on hardware-related issues with vendors (Dell, HP) for quick resolution.
- Maintain records of hardware service history and replacement schedules.
