Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi for a Jr. Sous Chef & Sous Chef specializing in South Indian cuisine. Responsibilities include planning and preparing South Indian dishes, maintaining ingredient quality, supervising and training kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, and collaborating with the team to maintain a high-quality dining experience. The role also involves managing kitchen operations, inventory, and ensuring timely preparation and presentation of meals.
Qualifications
- Expertise in South Indian cuisine, including the preparation and presentation of traditional dishes.
- Knowledge of food hygiene, safety regulations, and proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills, with experience training and mentoring kitchen staff.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations, including inventory control and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with the team and providing excellent service.
- Prior experience working in a professional kitchen environment is required; experience in hospitality or airport settings is a plus.
- Culinary arts certification or equivalent experience in professional cooking and kitchen management is preferred.
