JD – Junior Data Scientist

Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Data Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, Python, and SQL, with the ability to analyze data, build predictive models, and deliver actionable insights.
Must-Have Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in Data Science.
- Strong knowledge of Statistics (Probability, Hypothesis Testing, Regression Analysis, Statistical Inference)
- Hands-on experience with Machine Learning algorithms (Supervised and Unsupervised Learning)
- Proficiency in Python and libraries such as (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib)
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation along with knowledge of data cleaning, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.
- Familiarity with Git for version control
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Streamlit for building interactive applications
- Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of Deep Learning concepts and frameworks
- Experience with Jupyter Notebook
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, transform, and analyze structured and unstructured data.
- Develop, train, evaluate, and optimize machine learning models.
- Perform statistical analysis to identify trends and solve business problems.
- Write efficient SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Create meaningful visualizations and dashboards to communicate insights.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Build and maintain data science applications using Python and Streamlit.
- Use Git for code versioning and collaboration.
- Document methodologies, models, and findings effectively.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and best practices in Data Science and Machine Learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
