We are looking for a Data Analyst to help us optimize and scale our data ingestion, normalization, transformation and ingestion capabilities for ESG/Sustainable Investing data. We are a leading provider of ESG/Sustainable Investing data-driven investment solutions, and we are looking for a committed team member to help grow and maintain our data analysis capabilities across a wide range of use cases. Using your knowledge of ESG data sets, data processes and stakeholder relationship, you will curate OpenInvest's data capabilities, routinely test OpenInvest Research solutions for suitability in applicable use cases, provide input to needed data technology tool requirement and communicate data trends results to a cross-functional audience of research, engineering, marketing, sales enablement, product and data management stakeholders. Job Responsibilities: Work directly with the Head of OpenInvest Research and Senior Business Management to perform both novel and routine data ingestion, data analysis, data ingestion and data quality processes to support systematic delivery of OpenInvest Investment research insights. Advise and provide support to OpenInvest Research Senior Leadership for a wide range of data initiatives, including but not limited to, proceduralization of data ingestion processes, data quality checks and ETL uploads. Support OpenInvest Research leads to derive insights from market data providers and novel data sets curated by third-party vendors and OpenInvest research. Support the standardization of data ingestion, data normalization, transformation and distribution repeatable processes across the OpenInvest Research department. Maintain the documentation of said data processes to ensure longevity, resiliency, cross-training, and as a means to collaborate on continuous improvement. Where required, support the development of data value stream mapping and data operating model evolution to support the needs of the OpenInvest Research department. Provide support as a centralizing and neutral force across the OpenInvest Research team, other OpenInvest Functions, helping to translate data needs, support with transformation projects, and technology rollouts. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis functions and working with a cross section of functional stakeholders, preferably with a background in ESG/Sustainable Investing. Experience with common data analysis, statistical modeling, including data normalization and data suitability. Also should be Familiar with common data testing and analysis techniques leveraging tools such as Excel and/or Tableau. Experience presenting data business cases for high profile and complex projects to various stakeholders with different levels of subject matter knowledge. Excellent project management and organizational skills Passion for ESG/Sustainable Investing issues and interest in a values-led approach to sustainable investing Willingness to be proactive and vocal about business needs with a solutions-oriented mindset to solving complex methodology, technical and operational challenges. Strong initiative, interpersonal skills ,entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think creatively, while also being able to collaborate with others. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills: 2 years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, SRI or Impact Investing Experience evaluating new data sets for suitability, especially in an ESG/Sustainability context Research specialization/background in an area applicable to Sustainable Investing Experience in ESG-focused education or communication efforts Experience with Python
