About the role

JSIPL is establishing a specialized Technical and Strategic Consultant Roster to enhance our business development, proposal writing, and new partnership acquisition efforts. The roster will feature Subject Matter Experts, experienced Proposal Writers, and Strategic Partnership Consultants with established networks and proven capacity to establish new business partnerships across health and development domains. These consultants will collaborate with our in-house business development and project teams to co-create compelling technical proposals, concept notes, and bid responses, and/or support establishing new partnerships and funding streams for JSIPL. Consultants selected for this roster will be engaged on a specific assignment basis via a flexible contracting mechanism. When a relevant opportunity arises (eg: request for proposal, concept note development, or unsolicited proposal), JSIPL will select the necessary consultant(s) from the roster based on the specific technical niche, writing skills, or partnership development goals required for that effort. Each engagement will be managed via a specific part-time Consulting Contract or Task Order, clearly defining the scope, deliverables, timeline, and compensation structure. Consultants will be paid the mutually agreed fee following the successful completion and acceptance of deliverables as per the payment schedule outlined in the consulting contract. Thematic Focus – RMNCH+A, Primary Health Care, Climate Change and Health, Urban Resilience, Non-Communicable Diseases, Digital Health and Technology, Supply Chain Management, Health and Education Nexus, and Innovative Financing Expertise Category – We are seeking individuals with following type of expertise: 1. Subject Matter Experts - Seasoned professionals who will provide deep domain expertise and strategic insights into specific technical fields necessary for the solution being proposed. Design the technical approach, methodology, or program model. Review and approve technical sections, data, and calculations for accuracy. Provide information to writers via interviews, raw data, and key reports and publications. 2. Technical Proposal Writers - Professionals who combine subject matter knowledge with strong technical writing and strategy expertise. Conducting relevant research and background finding. Lead the development of clear, compelling, and compliant narrative content for proposals and bid submissions, managing sections from initial concept to final draft. Co-create the technical design or strategic framework, Theory of Change, Monitoring & Evaluation framework, project implementation strategy and other sections as required by the technical proposal format. Collaborate with project teams and Subject Matter Experts to gather necessary raw data/information and translate it into accessible, persuasive language aligned with the RFP requirements. 3. Strategic Partnership Consultant - Drive new business development and partnership acquisition by identifying, engaging, and securing new funding streams and strategic alliances for JSIPL. Share market intelligence to profile prospective new funding partners (eg: private foundations, global and Indian corporates for CSR funding, ultra-high-net worth individuals). Initiate, cultivate, and formalize new strategic partnerships and funding streams. Advise leadership on strategic approaches, value propositions, and market positioning to secure non-traditional funding.
