Summary of Position
The Forklift Operator I is certified to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts. This entry-level role is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, putting away materials, and performing additional warehouse tasks as assigned.
Functions of the Position

Loads and unloads trucks, places items in racks, verifies received goods against order documentation, signs Bills of Lading (BOLs), and applies License Plates (LPs) as required. Picks and puts away orders accurately.

Inspects trucks and documents inspection findings.

Maintains a clean and organized warehouse by sweeping, dusting, removing trash, taping open cases, and organizing pallets.

Rotates inventory using the FIFO method.

Conducts pre-operation inspections of equipment and reports any deficiencies. Ensures accurate use and proper care of hand-held scanning equipment.

Performs location audits as needed.
