Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in SolidWorks-based mechanical design and manufacturing drawing preparation for piping and fabrication projects. The candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D modeling, weldments, sheet metal, fabrication drawings, and BOM preparation. Basic understanding of P&ID diagrams and industrial piping systems is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed fabrication and assembly drawings for piping-related components and structures.
- Generate and maintain:
- BOM (Bill of Materials)
- GA drawings
- Fabrication drawings
- Part drawings
- Interpret and understand basic P&ID diagrams for equipment and piping layouts.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, and project teams for drawing clarification and revisions.
- Ensure drawings follow manufacturing standards and project requirements.
- Perform design modifications based on site or production feedback.
- Maintain proper documentation and revision control.

- Basic understanding of:

- Valves, fittings, flanges, and supports
- Familiarity with AutoCAD for 2D drafting.
- Understanding of fabrication and welding processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings and engineering standards.
- Knowledge of Design Tables, SolidWorks Macros or DriveWorks will be an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- ITI Draughtsman Mechanical / Diploma / BE Mechanical
- CSWP or similar
- Experience in piping, process equipment, skid systems, or fabrication industry preferred.
- Knowledge of GD&T and standard drafting practices is an advantage.

- Good practical understanding of shop-floor manufacturing.
- Ability to work independently on detailing tasks.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to learn and handle multiple projects.
