Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced SAP MDG Finance Technical Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Finance solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in SAP MDG technical architecture, SAP FICO processes, data modeling, workflow design, and integration frameworks.
This role requires hands-on experience in architecting scalable MDG solutions, designing custom enhancements, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to drive successful implementations.
Must-Have Skills
- 6–10 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in SAP MDG Finance
- Extensive hands-on experience in SAP MDG-F implementation and development projects
- Strong knowledge of:
- SAP MDG Finance (MDG-F)
- Business Partner (BP) and Finance Master Data
- MDG Data Models and Data Modeling Enhancements
- Change Request (CR) Processes and Workflow Configuration
- BRF+ Rules, Validations, and Derivations
- FPM (Floorplan Manager)
- Web Dynpro ABAP
- Replication Frameworks and Interface Design
- Expertise in ABAP Object-Oriented Programming (ABAP OO)
- Experience developing CDS Views and OData Services
- Strong SAP FICO functional understanding
- Experience in custom hierarchy development and master data governance processes
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
Nice-to-Have Skills
- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
- SAP MDG certifications
- SAP ABAP certifications
- Exposure to SAP BTP and modern SAP integration technologies
- Experience with advanced data quality and governance frameworks
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI technologies for MDG applications
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement SAP MDG Finance solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Define solution blueprints and technical architecture for MDG Finance initiatives.
- Configure and enhance MDG data models, workflows, validations, and derivations.
- Develop and maintain custom hierarchies, replication mechanisms, and integration interfaces.
- Design and build CDS Views and OData Services for master data exposure and consumption.
- Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance for MDG implementations.
- Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, and development teams to deliver scalable solutions.
- Drive sprint planning, development activities, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Ensure solution quality, performance optimization, and adherence to SAP best practices.
- Support governance processes and continuous improvement initiatives across master data domains.
