We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Jira Developer for a short-term, high-impact engagement. The role focuses on executing a ServiceNow to Jira migration project, ensuring seamless transition, workflow optimization, and system integrity. The ideal candidate will be technically strong, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with immediate availability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute end-to-end ServiceNow to Jira migration activities
- Configure and customize Jira and Jira Service Management (JSM) workflows
- Develop and maintain custom scripts, plugins, and integrations within Jira
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Ensure data integrity during migration of tickets, workflows, and configurations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and post migration
- Perform testing and validation of migrated data and workflows
- Provide documentation and knowledge transfer after implementation
Skills
- 6–10 years of overall IT experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in Jira Development and JSM
- Proven experience in ServiceNow to Jira migration projects (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of Jira architecture, workflows, and customization
- Experience in scripting (Groovy/JavaScript)
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and plugin development
- Strong knowledge of data migration and issue tracking systems
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
