1. Plant Financial Management
Oversee complete finance and accounts operations for the cement manufacturing unit.
Ensure accurate accounting, financial discipline, and strong internal controls.
Monitor plant-level profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
2. Costing & Cost Control
Manage product costing including clinker, cement, power, fuel, logistics, and RM costs.
Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
Drive cost reduction initiatives in coordination with production and procurement teams.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly performance reviews.
Prepare plant operating cost budgets and CAPEX plans.
Track budget vs actual performance and provide insights to management.
4. Financial Reporting & MIS
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plant.
Generate MIS reports on production cost, margins, inventory, energy cost, and efficiency KPIs.
Present financial results to Plant Head and Corporate Finance.
5. Statutory Compliance & Taxation
Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements:
GST, Income Tax, TDS
Companies Act provisions
Cost Audit and Statutory Audit support
Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
6. Accounts Payable & Receivable Control
Manage vendor payments, credit control, and receivable monitoring.
Ensure timely processing of invoices, statutory payments, and payroll accounting.
Optimize cash flow through effective working capital management.
7. Inventory & Fixed Asset Management
Monitor inventory accounting of raw materials, clinker, coal/petcoke, stores, spares, and finished goods.
Ensure proper valuation and reconciliation of stock.
Manage fixed asset capitalization, depreciation, and asset audits.
8. Internal Control & Governance
Implement robust internal control systems and SOPs for finance processes.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and risk mitigation frameworks.
Lead internal audits and closure of audit observations.
9. Business Partnering & Strategic Support
Act as a finance business partner to plant operations and leadership.
Support decision-making on:
Expansion projects
Cost optimization
Vendor contracts
Operational efficiency improvements
10. Team Leadership
Lead and develop the finance and accounts team at the plant.
Ensure training, performance management, and capability building.
