- Design of static equipment in compliance with international standards including ASME Sec VIII Div. 1 & 2, PD 5500, API 650, TEMA, NACE, ASCE and specific project specifications.
- Drive pre-bid engineering activities: review tender documents, prepare technical proposals, define equipment scope, and identify deviations to optimize project feasibility and competitiveness.
- Prepare Material Requisitions, Enquiry Specifications, and conduct Technical Bid Evaluations for static equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, and shell & tube heat exchangers.
- Review and approval of Mechanical Design & Detail drawing and ensure submission to client.
- Review and approve vendor deliverables: technical queries, fabrication drawings.
- Validate and audit design calculations, incorporating comments from ASME Authorized Inspectors (AI).
- Lead detailed drawing checks including internal component layouts and sub-order sketches.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams: Production, QA/QC, Projects, Procurement, and interface with EPC contractors and end users for smooth execution.
- Mentor and manage a team of Design and CAD Engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with project timelines.
- Define and monitor KPIs, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and implement risk & opportunity management in alignment with ISO 9001:2015.
- Spearhead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to identify and eliminate process inefficiencies across design workflows.
- Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & 5S practices within the engineering department to drive workplace efficiency and safety.
- Responsible for ASME Re-Certification Audits, ensuring full compliance with code and quality standards.
