Description

Salary Range: $61,000 - $66,000 annually


Position Summary:

• This position provides school-based mental health counseling to students, consultation and collaboration with school staff, and case management services to students and their families. Provides weekly clinical consultation and supervision to KidSuccess therapists.


Essential Functions*:

• Provides individual and group therapy to students.

• Provides therapy and psychoeducation to families of students as needed.

• Consults and collaborates with school staff regarding the needs/behavior of students.

• Provides crisis intervention support.

• Facilitates referrals to meet the medical and psychiatric needs of clients as indicated.

• Maintains accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with Agency standards.

• Participates in team meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.

• Facilitates weekly supervision to specific KidSuccess therapists

• Facilitates small group supervision 1-2 times per month.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education:

- A master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from a CACREP-accredited program.

• Experience:

- At least two years post master’s experience providing child, adolescent, and family therapy.


• Other:

- Familiarity with DSM IV/V codes and Medicaid paperwork required.

- Computer skills, WORD, EXCEL, and Outlook required.

- Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborating with various levels of staff, including program managers, directors, and board members.


Certifications/Licensing:

• License required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).

• All mental health clinicians must register with CAQH (Council for Affordable Quality Health) within seven days of date of hire. All unlicensed clinicians must register with the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) prior to the start date and must remain in active status throughout JFS employment.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for supervising staff, including assigning work; providing coaching, feedback, and support; supporting performance evaluations of assigned supervisees; and supporting professional development.


Work Environment:

• Off-Site Position: Work primarily takes place in the community with occasional requirements to be at the home office at 3201 South Tamarac Dr., Denver 80231. Work hours are generally during regular business hours, but some evening or weekend work is required to meet program or client needs.


• Essential physical requirements: Frequent sitting and typing. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel between sites, communicate effectively, and use standard office and mobile equipment.

• Physical effort/lifting: The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 10 pounds.
