Job details:
Mehr Fine Jewellery, Jaipur
Mehr Fine Jewellery is looking for a Jewellery Operations & Order Coordinator to support the smooth movement of jewellery orders across vendors, suppliers, internal teams, costing, quality checks, documentation, and client updates.
This role is suitable for someone who has already worked in the jewellery industry and understands how jewellery orders move from requirement to execution. The person should be organised, alert, diligent, and comfortable taking ownership of follow-ups, records, and daily updates.
This is not a factory-floor production role and not a passive office role. It is an active coordination role for someone who can keep track of multiple moving parts and make sure work progresses smoothly.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder & Vendor Coordination
Track ongoing jewellery orders and coordinate with karigars, vendors, suppliers, CAD teams, stone setters, polishers, and other production partners. Ensure timelines, pending details, approvals, and delays are clearly tracked and communicated.
Internal Coordination
Work across different internal areas such as costing, quality check, order details, product readiness, client updates, and delivery timelines. The person should be able to share the right information with the right team member at the right time.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain clear records of order status, production updates, costing details, QC notes, delivery timelines, pending tasks, and vendor follow-ups. Basic comfort with Excel, WhatsApp, photos, folders, and computer-based reporting is important.
Quality Check & Execution Support
Assist in checking product details, flagging issues, coordinating corrections, and making sure finished pieces are reviewed properly before client delivery or internal handover.
Client Update Support
Occasionally assist with client-related updates, delivery information, and follow-ups. This will mostly be connected to order progress and timelines, not active sales.
Daily Self-Reporting
Share clear daily updates on completed work, pending work, delayed items, required approvals, and areas needing attention. The person should be proactive in reporting instead of waiting to be reminded.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who has:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in the jewellery industry.
- Understanding of jewellery order flow, vendor coordination, and basic quality expectations.
- Strong organisation and follow-up skills.
- Comfort with Excel, WhatsApp, photos, folders, and basic computer work.
- Ability to coordinate between vendors, internal team members, costing, QC, and client-update requirements.
- Diligent and responsible working style.
- Ability to take directions, learn quickly, and apply instructions carefully.
- Self-driven nature with the habit of updating, reporting, and solving small problems before they become bigger delays.
- Long-term mindset and willingness to grow with the brand.
Important Role Expectation
The ideal candidate should understand that in a boutique jewellery business, execution depends on details: correct information, timely follow-ups, clear records, quality checks, costing clarity, and ownership of pending work.
Over time, the right person can become an important part of Mehr’s operations system, helping the team work more smoothly, reduce delays, improve order tracking, and create a more organised client and production experience.
Ideal Fit
- This role is ideal for someone who is practical, organised, alert, and responsible. The right person should enjoy bringing order to moving parts and should be comfortable working in a small, high-involvement team where every order matters.
