Summary

We are looking for a Marketing Automation Specialist to lead the development, execution, and continuous optimization of cross-channel marketing campaigns. This role blends lifecycle marketing strategy and marketing automation expertise to drive personalized experiences across the customer lifecycle—from acquisition and onboarding to retention and win back. You will partner closely with marketing, product, and engineering teams to build scalable journeys, integrate behavioral triggers, and enhance marketing performance through thoughtful automation strategies.

What You’ll Do 

Strategy & Campaign Execution

  • Own the execution of lifecycle campaigns across email, SMS, and push, ensuring messaging is relevant, timely, and aligned to customer behavior and business objectives.
  • Design and implement triggered journeys and automated workflows using dynamic content, real-time events, and decision logic to personalize the customer experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and creative teams to develop modular templates, campaign assets, and messaging frameworks.

Testing, Optimization & Scaling

  • Lead the design and execution of A/B and multivariate tests to evaluate creative and messaging effectiveness and improve campaign performance.
  • Guide segmentation, frequency caps, message timing, and channel prioritization based on marketing best practices and observed user behavior.
  • Continuously refine and scale programs by evaluating campaign performance and incorporating learnings into future iterations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 4–6+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing and/or marketing automation roles preferred.
  • Deep hands-on experience with enterprise-grade marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Iterable, Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud) preferred.
  • Experience with HTML/CSS for email and developing/building/modifying modular templates required.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working alongside creative/strategy teams.
  • Experience collaborating with data analytics, development and engineering teams to manage integrations and enable dynamic content capabilities.
  • Solid understanding of compliance, deliverability, and best practices for email, SMS, and push channels required.
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms that integrate with Salesforce or other CRMs preferred.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle segmentation strategies such as onboarding, retention, or win back required.
  • Background in a high-growth environment (SaaS, eCommerce, fintech, etc.) preferred.
