Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Blue Yonder (formerly JDA) QA Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years in test planning, execution, and support for JDA/Blue Yonder solutions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in demand and supply chain management systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, integration, customization, and optimization of JDA enterprise solutions through rigorous end-to-end testing, with a focus on version upgrade. This is a 6-month contract position.Ideal for experienced professionals seeking short-term, high-impact opportunities in Blue Yonder QA.
• Proven 5+ years in QA for JDA/Blue Yonder, including test planning, execution, defect management, and production support.
• Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder UI testing, including workflow validation, configuration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Proficiency in SQL for backend validation and data integrity testing.
• Hands-on experience with functionality, integration, system, regression, performance/load, UAT, and end-to-end testing methodologies, including version upgrade validation for Blue Yonder/JDA modules.
• Exposure to Jira for defect tracking/user story management and Zephyr for test case design/execution.
• Excellent English communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business teams across levels.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Development & Customization:
o Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases for Blue Yonder modules, covering functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing.
o Test enhancements, custom workflows, and extensions using Blue Yonder toolsets, validating configurations via UI and SQL.
o Design and execute test scenarios for customized JDA planning and execution modules to ensure seamless upgrades.
2. Implementation & Integration Testing:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate JDA solution implementations through integration and system testing.
o Perform end-to-end integration testing of JDA with third-party applications.
o Test data integrations using EDI, APIs, or middleware, verifying data accuracy and exception handling with SQL queries.
3. Support & Maintenance:
o Provide post-implementation QA support, including troubleshooting defects, regression testing, and hyper care validation.
o Conduct performance, load, and security testing to monitor and ensure high availability of JDA applications.
o Validate patches, upgrades, and hotfixes through rigorous testing to maintain system stability and security.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Work closely with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and end-users to gather requirements and refine test cases in Jira/Zephyr.
o Offer QA expertise and testing recommendations during sprints, rollouts, and version upgrades.
o Collaborate with onshore/offshore teams to execute tests and deliver defect-free projects on time.
5. Documentation & Best Practices:
o Create and maintain QA documentation, including test plans, scripts, defect reports, and traceability matrices.
o Follow industry QA best practices and ensure adherence to testing standards and processes.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with JDA / Blue Yonder solutions.
• Strong expertise in working as a tester on one of the JDA modules such as:
o Demand Planning o SCPO (Supply Chain Planning & Optimization)
• Hands-on experience with Blue Yonder UI testing, including workflow validation, configuration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) and Database testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
