The Bar Manager oversees all bar operations, ensuring high-quality beverages, excellent guest service, and efficient daily performance. This role manages bartending staff, inventory, cost controls, and beverage programs while maintaining safety, compliance, and a welcoming bar atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee daily bar operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
- Maintain high standards of beverage quality, presentation, and consistency
- Create a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall guest experience
- Handle guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
Leadership & Staff Management
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and bar support staff
- Lead by example during service and set clear performance expectations
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development
- Foster a positive, accountable, and teamwork-driven culture
Beverage Program & Menu Development
- Develop and maintain cocktail menus and beverage offerings aligned with the brand
- Stay current with beverage trends, spirits, wine, beer, and mixology techniques
- Collaborate with management on promotions, events, and seasonal menus
Financial & Inventory Management
- Manage bar inventory, ordering, receiving, and storage
- Control beverage costs, minimize waste, and meet margin targets
- Monitor sales performance and adjust offerings or pricing as needed
- Ensure proper cash handling, POS accuracy, and end-of-shift procedures
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, health regulations, and company policies
- Enforce responsible alcohol service practices
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards behind the bar
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bar Manager, Lead Bartender, or similar leadership role
- Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, wine, and bar operations
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Experience with inventory control, cost management, and POS systems
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Alcohol service certification required (as applicable by location)
