We pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, commitment to excellence, and our focus on building scalable, intelligent systems that address real-world challenges.
About The Role
We are seeking experienced software engineers at the tech lead level to join our dynamic team working on advanced AI evaluation datasets. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the development of Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation and training datasets aimed at solving realistic software engineering problems. This involves working with high-quality public repositories from GitHub, automating development environments, triaging issues, and assessing code quality and test coverage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, particularly with open-source projects, and possess the ability to analyze, modify, and run complex codebases locally. This role offers an opportunity to influence the future of AI-assisted software development by collaborating with researchers and leading initiatives that expand dataset coverage across various programming languages and difficulty levels.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on web technologies such as JavaScript and TypeScript. Proficiency with version control systems like Git, containerization tools like Docker, and familiarity with setting up and managing software pipelines are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to understand and navigate complex codebases, run, modify, and test real-world projects locally, and contribute to open-source projects or evaluate their quality. Experience in AI research, LLM evaluation, or automation tools is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment are also required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage issues across trending open-source repositories on GitHub to identify challenges for LLMs.
- Set up, configure, and maintain code repositories, including Dockerization and environment setup for testing and development.
- Evaluate unit test coverage and quality, providing insights to improve dataset robustness.
- Modify and run codebases locally to assess LLM performance in bug-fixing and code understanding scenarios.
- Collaborate with research teams to design and select repositories and issues that are challenging for AI models.
- Lead or mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment to accelerate project goals.
- Contribute to documentation, best practices, and automation processes to streamline dataset creation and evaluation workflows.
