Role Description
Job Title: Technical Lead – Java & Cloud
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced
Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of
enterprise‑grade applications. The role requires strong
Java backend expertise, hands‑on technical leadership, and close collaboration with
Product Owners and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions in an
Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Product Owners to understand business requirements, lead requirement‑gathering sessions, and review solution designs.
- Own and manage backlog items, coordinating with team members to deliver planned features in each sprint.
- Perform technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and guide the team on technical skills, architecture, and development standards.
- Design, prototype, develop, and troubleshoot applications across UI and service layers.
- Conduct peer code reviews to promote reuse, scalability, and maintainable design.
- Participate in collaborative discussions on software design, architecture, development, and user experience.
- Deliver feature demonstrations to client and business stakeholders using modern frontend and backend technologies.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Java development.
- Strong experience building applications using multi‑tier architectures.
- Hands‑on experience with Java/J2EE, including:
- Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate
- REST and SOAP Web Services
- Experience with SQL databases and application servers such as Tomcat and WebSphere.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins and SonarQube.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP or any major cloud such as AWS/Azure).
- Strong understanding of UML, application design, architecture principles, and design patterns.
- Exposure to frontend technologies such as AJAX.
Optional / Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience developing services or applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience building and deploying cloud‑native applications on GCP.
- Hands‑on experience with Angular (v2.x or later).
