Role Description The Java Technical Lead will guide the design and implementation of enterprise-grade Java solutions, with a focus on Jakarta EE and microservices architectures that support agentic AI products and platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software development efforts, reviewing code, defining technical standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, data, QA) to deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable systems. The role involves mentoring developers, conducting design and architecture reviews, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and ensuring best practices in performance, security, and reliability. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Kochi, with flexibility for partial work from home aligned with business needs and team collaboration requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with hands-on experience in modern Java ecosystems.
- Applied expertise in Jakarta EE for building robust, enterprise-level applications and services.
- Experience designing and implementing Microservices-based architectures for distributed systems.
- Deep understanding of Design Patterns and their practical use in scalable, maintainable software solutions.
- Previous experience in a technical lead or senior engineer role, including mentoring and leading development teams.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance considerations, ideally within regulated industries.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate across remote and onsite team members.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
