Role Description
Senior Technical Lead – Java
Role Overview
As a
Senior Technical Lead, you will work closely with Product Owners and cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable software solutions. You will provide technical leadership across design, development, and delivery while mentoring team members and driving best engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strong collaboration with Product Owners to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Lead requirement gathering sessions and review functional and technical designs with stakeholders.
- Own and manage backlog items, coordinating with team members to deliver committed features in each sprint.
- Conduct technical design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
- Mentor, guide, and support team members on technical skills, design principles, and coding standards.
- Design, prototype, develop, and troubleshoot software across UI and service layers.
- Perform peer code reviews with a focus on reusability, maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in detailed technical discussions related to architecture, design, development, and user experience.
- Deliver feature and sub‑feature demonstrations to client stakeholders using modern front‑end and back‑end technologies.
- Support Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 7–10 years of hands‑on experience in Java development
- Strong experience in building applications using multi‑tier architecture
- Proficiency in Java / J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot
- Experience with REST and SOAP web services
- Strong knowledge of Hibernate, SQL, and relational databases
- Experience with application servers such as Tomcat and WebSphere
- Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins
- Knowledge of code quality and analysis tools (e.g., SONAR)
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with AJAX and modern web application concepts
- Working knowledge of GCP or AWS
- Strong understanding of UML, application design, system architecture, and design patterns
- Exposure to AI tools is an added advantage
Optional / Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- Experience with Angular (2.x or later versions)
