We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Business Analyst
In This Role, You Will
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure and efficient RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
- Deploy and manage API services on Amazon Web Services (AWS), using services such as API Gateway, Lambda and DynamoDB.
- Design and optimise MongoDB data models to support efficient storage and retrieval for API services.
- Partner with product managers, front-end engineers and quality assurance (QA) to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality API solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and coach peers to uphold coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Monitor and improve API performance, reducing latency and improving response times through tuning and optimisation.
- Produce and maintain clear API documentation, including usage guidelines and technical specifications for internal and external stakeholders.
- Build and execute unit and integration tests, and troubleshoot issues across functionality, performance and security in production.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Core Java for API development.
- Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs, with exposure to SOAP services.
- Experience with MongoDB (data modelling, indexing and optimisation) and familiarity with Oracle databases.
- Working knowledge of AWS services for API hosting and integration (including API Gateway, Lambda and DynamoDB) and production support processes.
- Experience with RAML and Cloud HUB in an API/integration context.
- CI/CD experience using Jenkins and a good understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), Agile and DevOps ways of working.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to perform impact analysis and produce high-level and low-level designs.
- Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery while maintaining code quality, security and engineering standards.
