Project Context: Developing a cloud-native Drools Rules Engine to migrate legacy workflows and manage real-time case tracking.
Core Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize a Spring Boot 3.x / Java 21 (or Java 26 experimental) application serving as a wrapper for the Apache Drools KIE runtime.
Design and maintain OpenAPI (Swagger) specs for a unified REST API supporting Batch, Paginated, and Filtered execution modes.
Design NoSQL data models in Google Cloud Firestore to store dynamic rule configurations and workflow state.
Implement Cloud Run Tasks and Jobs to handle asynchronous, long-running batch execution of SLA rules across millions of historical records.
Stream execution logs and rule-firing metrics into BigQuery for real-time business intelligence and "Like-for-Like" parity auditing.
Build robust data access layers using Hibernate/JPA to interface with Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL).
Implement StatelessKieSessions for high-concurrency, horizontal scaling on GCP Cloud Run.
