Job Title: SDE III – Java
Location: Gurgaon (Work From Office)
Experience: 5–8 Years
About the Role
We are looking for a highly experienced SDE III (Java) to build scalable, high-performance applications and drive technical excellence across systems. This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership, system design expertise, and the ability to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance backend systems using Java
- Own end-to-end delivery of features, modules, and services with high quality and within timelines
- Architect and implement robust APIs and distributed systems
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best engineering practices
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, integration testing, and code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and database engineers
- Participate in system design discussions, sprint planning, and technical decision-making
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in software development
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design
- Experience building highly scalable, distributed systems
- Strong experience with RESTful API design and development
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects
- Ability to analyze systems both:
- Broadly: client-server architecture, databases, system flow
- Deeply: concurrency, threads, performance, and complexity
Preferred Skills
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Familiarity with Spring Boot / Spring Framework
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and performance tuning
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
