About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Backend Java Engineer with 4+ years of hands‑on expertise in building scalable backend services. The ideal candidate should be strong in Java, Spring Boot, API development, and have experience working with AWS and relational databases like MySQL.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger
- Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and security
- Work with MySQL to design efficient database schemas and write optimized queries
- Deploy and support services on AWS (CloudFront and related services)
- Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production issue analysis
- Follow best practices in coding, CI/CD, testing, and cloud deployment
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in backend development
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Expertise with Spring Boot (Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security optional)
- Experience designing APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (CloudFront is required)
- Strong understanding of MySQL (queries, joins, indexes)
- Good knowledge of microservices architecture
- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal English communication
