Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java PL/SQL Developer to support development, modernization, and enhancement initiatives for a Capital Markets client.
The candidate will work closely with SMEs, Business Analysts, module developers, and business users to deliver end-to-end SDLC activities including requirement analysis, development, testing, and production support.
The role also involves reverse engineering legacy mainframe applications and supporting their migration to modern distributed architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide application development and enhancement services in a Java-based environment.
- Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Collaborate with SMEs, Business Analysts, and client stakeholders for requirement gathering.
- Analyze existing legacy applications and contribute to software architecture design.
- Reverse engineer mainframe applications and support modernization initiatives.
- Migrate legacy systems to modern distributed platforms using:
- Java
- Spring Framework
- Kafka
- SQL / DB2 databases
- Perform:
- Unit Testing
- Integration Testing
- UAT support
- Provide regular work status updates to stakeholders.
- Act as a key technical partner throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- BE / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in enterprise development environments.
- Hands-on development experience with:
- Java
- PL/SQL
- SQL databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java + Angular development.
- Exposure to Capital Markets domain.
- Strong understanding of mainframe technologies.
- Experience in:
- Reverse engineering mainframe applications
- Legacy modernization programs
- Migration to distributed architectures
- Working knowledge of:
- Spring Framework
- Kafka
- DB2
- Distributed system architecture
Nice to Have
- Experience with modernization or digital transformation programs.
- Exposure to Agile development methodology.
