Key Responsibilities:
- Define and own the target-state integration architecture aligned with the enterprise Solution Architects.
- Design integration patterns and data flow strategies across systems such as Calypso, AF-CAD, FNZ, NeoXam, and SWIFT (MT/MX/ISO 20022).
- Lead the architecture and design of the Group Integration Platform (GIP) on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including event-driven and API-led integration models. Maintain close collaboration with the Group Integration Platform (GIP) architecture team to ensure Project Brenner requirements are addressed, and providing guidance on specific use cases
- Govern the use of middleware, messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, MQ), and transformation engines (e.g., UDF) to ensure consistency and reusability.
- Collaborate with functional and technical stream leads (e.g., Tax, Static Data, Custody, SWIFT) to translate business requirements into integration solutions.
- Define and enforce non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, security, scalability, and fault tolerance for all integration components.
- Review and approve interface control documents (ICDs), data mapping specifications, and deployment architectures.
- Support the development and testing teams in implementing integration solutions, ensuring alignment with architectural standards.
- Lead integration design authority forums and contribute to architecture governance processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise integration architecture, with at least 3 years in large-scale financial services transformation programs.
- Deep expertise in integration technologies including APIs (REST/SOAP), messaging (Kafka, MQ), file-based interfaces between Mainframe and Cloud Based Systems, and SWIFT messaging standards (MT/MX).
- Proven experience with cloud-native integration platforms, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, and Apigee.
- Strong understanding of capital markets and post-trade operations, including settlement, custody, static data, and tax processing.
- Hands-on experience with integration frameworks and middleware such as Apache Camel, Spring Integration, zOS/ Connect, IBM MQ (both on mainframe and on windows), IBM Secure File Transfer, or MuleSoft.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Git, SonarQube, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Grafana, ELK).
- Experience with data transformation and mapping tools (e.g., UDF engines, Avro, Jolt, XSLT, ETL tools).
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, encryption, and compliance requirements in banking integrations (Open Auth 2.0)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions in a cross-cultural environment considering language barriers also
