Synopsis: Covoro has established a strong presence across the UAE, India, and Malaysia, and we are now seeking a driven, hands-on Java Developer to support and accelerate the development of our product platforms across these markets. In this role, you will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, work on scalable, production-grade applications, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and help deliver highquality solutions that drive business growth. A strong foundation in Core Java, Spring-based frameworks, REST APIs, and database-driven applications is essential, along with a mindset focused on product development, continuous learning, and adopting new technologies.
Who you are:
●5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Java-based application development, preferably in productdriven, mid to large-scale systems.
● Strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot , Hibernate/JPA, Microservices, and RESTful APIs.
● Proven experience in designing and delivering applications from scratch, with clear individual ownership and measurable impact.
● Strong understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and scalable system design.
● Solid experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
● Working knowledge of frontend technologies including React / JSP / jQuery for effective backend integration
● Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
● Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar productivity tools
● Strong experience in handling production systems, monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization
● Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and understand requirements quickly
● Highly self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, product-focused environment
● Prior experience in mentoring junior developers and handling a small team (2–4 members)
● Enthusiastic about continuous learning and adopting new technologies and tech stacks
What will you do:
● Lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable Java-based applications and microservices
● Take ownership of end-to-end development, from requirement analysis and system design to implementation and deployment
● Guide and mentor a small team of 2–4 developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical direction
● Build and optimize REST APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA
● Define and review architecture decisions, ensuring performance, scalability, and maintainability
● Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, DevOps, and frontend teams to deliver highquality features
● Oversee database design, query optimization, and data integrity across MySQL / PostgreSQL / MongoDB ● Manage and support production systems, including incident handling, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements
● Work with cloud and DevOps teams on AWS-based deployments, monitoring, and scaling
● Leverage AI development tools to improve code quality, productivity, and delivery speed
● Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, frameworks, and best practices to improve the product platform
