About The Opportunity
A staffing and HR services firm serving IT & technology clients across India, focused on delivering enterprise-grade software talent to fast-growing product and services organisations. We hire engineers who build scalable backend systems, integrate with cloud platforms, and deliver production-quality solutions for web and mobile applications.
Role (Primary title): Java Developer — On-site in India. This is a hands-on engineering role collaborating with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver backend services for mission-critical applications.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot following clean-code and SOLID principles.
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs; model and persist data using Hibernate/JPA and relational databases.
- Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews and enforce CI/CD best practices.
- Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues; profile and optimise JVM-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans.
- Containerize applications and support deployment automation and environment parity for on-site production releases.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have: Proven expertise in Java and Spring Boot; hands-on experience building RESTful APIs.
- Must-Have: Strong ORM experience using Hibernate / JPA and writing efficient SQL for relational databases.
- Must-Have: Version control and build tooling proficiency (Git, Maven).
- Must-Have: Practical experience with unit/integration testing and debugging JVM applications.
- Preferred: Experience with containerization using Docker and microservices architecture concepts.
- Preferred: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
