Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications in a cloud-based environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS, with the ability to work on complex systems and contribute to end-to-end development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain middle-tier business logic, architecture, and APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Design and build scalable web applications leveraging AWS services
- Perform software design, code reviews, and ensure best coding practices
- Work on complex technical problems requiring deep analysis and solutioning
- Define and document business and functional requirements for system development and testing
- Support BAU (Business-as-Usual) activities and production issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in backend development using Java and Spring Boot in an AWS environment
- At least 3+ years of experience in implementing SOAP and REST APIs
- Strong experience with:
- Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA
- Containerization (Docker)
- Relational databases (RDS) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Distributed caching mechanisms
- Hands-on experience in designing scalable and high-performance systems
Good to Have
- Experience with AWS services (EKS, cloud-native tools)
- Exposure to DevSecOps practices and tools
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and CyberArk
- Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Amazon Q, Kiro)
- Understanding of the Payments domain
