About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team at Ascendion. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java development, with a strong background in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and cloud-native application deployment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, and utilizing containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. The Senior Java Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product management to deliver robust solutions that meet business needs.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to projects that impact global clients. The role requires immediate availability, with a work mode of five days onsite at our Hyderabad or Bengaluru offices. Candidates should be prepared to engage in a thorough interview process comprising three technical rounds to demonstrate their expertise and problem-solving capabilities.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of professional experience in Java development, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise-grade applications.
- Strong proficiency in Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and REST API development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Expertise in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including database design and optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools for automated deployment and testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design, develop, and implement Microservices architecture to ensure modularity and scalability.
- Create and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration with frontend and third-party services.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS Cloud infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda functions.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration to streamline deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and product management to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues efficiently.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into development workflows.
