About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic team at Ascendion. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Java programming, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and cloud-native application development. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that support our enterprise clients' digital transformation initiatives. The Senior Java Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, QA, and Product Management, to deliver robust and efficient solutions. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge cloud technologies such as AWS and Kubernetes, enabling the development of resilient, high-performance applications in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Spring Boot and Microservices. Proven expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, along with hands-on experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, is essential. Candidates should be proficient with containerization tools such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. A solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, along with experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, is required. Additionally, familiarity with agile methodologies and best coding practices will be considered advantageous. Candidates must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a proactive approach to development challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Design, develop, and implement Microservices architecture to support enterprise applications.
- Create and consume RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless integration between systems.
- Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS Cloud services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Utilize Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration to ensure efficient deployment and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues and production incidents promptly.
