Primary Skills:
- 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience (Core Java, Collections, Multithreading).
- Strong production experience with Spring Boot, building and maintaining REST services.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka — producer/consumer development, event streaming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark
- Proven experience designing and operating microservices architectures, including inter-service communication and resilience patterns.
- Prior experience working in the Retail domain (catalog, inventory, pricing, orders, offers, or similar systems).
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes — deployments, pods, services, and troubleshooting containerized apps.
- Exposure to Python and GenAI tools/frameworks (LLM APIs, prompt engineering, AI-assisted engineering workflows).
- Strong debugging skills with a proven track record of bug fixing and production support.
- Solid understanding of relational/NoSQL databases and SQL query optimization.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Secondary Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP).
- Understanding of Apache Spark, and Scala.
- Exposure to observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus).
- Understanding of API Gateway, Service Mesh (Istio), and Helm charts.
- Prior experience mentoring engineers and leading small technical initiatives.
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
