About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our eCRM Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the backend services that power our proprietary eCRM platform. This platform plays a crucial role in managing customer relationships across our e-commerce ecosystem, enabling personalized interactions and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, with experience working on scalable, high-performance backend systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, data engineers, and product managers to deliver robust solutions that meet business needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern Java technologies on a platform that handles millions of customer interactions, directly impacting our customer engagement strategies and overall business success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend software development.
- Proficiency in Java 17/21 and Spring Boot 3 framework.
- Experience working with relational and BigQuery databases, including SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with messaging systems such as ActiveMQ and event-driven architecture.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP, and migration projects.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API development and OpenAPI specifications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot application performance issues using monitoring and logging tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services for the eCRM platform using Java and Spring Boot.
- Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and data teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs adhering to best practices and OpenAPI standards.
- Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity across BigQuery, SQL, and PostgreSQL databases.
- Integrate messaging systems such as ActiveMQ to facilitate event-driven architecture and real-time data processing.
- Participate in the migration of infrastructure to GCP, ensuring minimal disruption and high availability.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and continuous integration processes.
- Monitor application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to enhance system stability and efficiency.
- Document technical specifications, architecture, and code to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing within the team.
