Data Science Manager - Generative AI

About The Role

We are seeking a visionary Data Science Manager with deep expertise in Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to lead our AI initiatives from both a technical and business impact perspective. In this hybrid leadership role, you will oversee the development of GenAI solutions while aligning AI strategy with core business objectives, driving measurable value across products, operations, and customer Responsibilities Leadership :

• Lead and mentor a high-impact team of data scientists and ML engineers in designing and deploying scalable AI/ML solutions.
• Architect and implement Generative AI models, including LLMs, GANs, VAEs, and RAG pipelines for domain specific applications.
• Develop statistical models for forecasting, segmentation, and experimentation to support business insights and data-driven decisions.
• Integrate vector databases and real-time knowledge retrieval systems to enhance LLM performance using RAG frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).

Responsible AI & Strategic Impact

• Collaborate with product, marketing, operations, and executive teams to identify high-impact GenAI use cases that improve customer experience, optimize workflows, and unlock new revenue streams.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear business language and actionable strategy for leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive AI/ML adoption across business units, identifying opportunities to automate, personalize, and scale key business processes.
• Use data-driven storytelling and visualization to present findings, KPIs, and business outcomes to non technical audiences.
• Contribute to the companys innovation roadmap by proposing and piloting new AI-powered features and Qualifications :
• Masters in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in data science with 2+ years in leading GenAI initiatives.
• Proven experience in building and deploying LLMs, RAG systems, and embedding-based search solutions.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, A/B testing, and experiment design.
• Proficient in Python and key libraries (e.g., Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS), and MLOps.
• Excellent business acumen with experience influencing product roadmaps and executive strategy through Qualifications :
• Experience commercializing GenAI-powered solutions in B2B or B2C products.
• Background in sectors like legal tech, fintech, retail, or health tech is a plus.
• Publications, patents, or open-source contributions in AI/ML fields.
