Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Japanese Transcriber. The Japanese Transcriber is responsible for listening to audio recordings in Japanese and accurately transcribing spoken content into written text. Additional tasks include ensuring transcription quality, reviewing and editing content for accuracy, and maintaining a consistent style and format as per project requirements. The transcriber must meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Japanese language (fluent in written and spoken Japanese).
• Proficiency in transcription tools and audio-editing software is preferred.
• Excellent listening, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Time management and organizational skills to handle deadlines effectively while managing multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with linguistic style guides and an ability to ensure consistency in transcription format.
• Previous experience in transcription or related fields is advantageous.
• Access to a computer with a reliable internet connection suitable for remote work.
• A proactive attitude and flexibility to adjust to changing project requirements.
