About the role

JICA India Office plans to recruit a new staff member as below. Recruiting post: Project Officer (the designation may start from Assistant Project Officer, depending on the experience and qualification of the candidate). The recruitment for the post is for JICA India Office and not for JICA head office in Japan. Working place: JICA India Office, Address: 16th Floor, Hindustan Times House, 18-20, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi. Expected starting date of work: Beginning of October 2025 in principle, but negotiable. Under the supervision of the management team, the works that are expected to be carried out as a Project Officer are the following; Ensure Loan-Agreement-compliant project implementation. This includes timely and accurate processing of loan disbursements claims from the Executing Agencies, processing procurement documents, and tracking project reporting from the Executing Agencies. Undertake Technical Cooperation Project implementation activities, including planning and following-up procedures to send Indian participants to JICA's training courses and invitation programs. Also, organize seminars, including planning of the event according to the set concept by the team. Undertake proactive implementation activities for other schemes, such as, but not limited to, grant aid and volunteer program. Undertake logistical and support work for the office/management and the assigned team. This would include coordination of meetings, business trips (on which Project Officers may occasionally be required to join), office documentation, maintaining and managing business contacts, as well as coordination of JICA headquarters missions. Undertake basic work like draft and send letters, make copies/prints and scans, prepare documents for internal circulation and approval, communicate with Headquarters Department over these documents, filing documents, and receiving phone calls. Other works not limited to the above which JICA India Office deems necessary for achievement organizational objectives and assigned by the Chief Representative.
