Senior Staff Software Developer - Clinical Group

As a Senior Staff Software Developer on the Clinical Group, you will be responsible for building and maintaining highly reliable and scalable software systems that power Jane's clinical offerings. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to design, implement, and operate complex distributed systems. You will mentor and guide more junior developers, and contribute to the overall technical direction of the team. Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain large-scale, distributed, and highly reliable backend systems - Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions - Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code that adheres to best practices - Mentor and guide more junior developers, and contribute to the team's technical roadmap - Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and incident response - Continuously improve development processes and tooling Requirements: - 8+ years of experience in backend software development - Proficient in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust) - Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, caching, and message queues - Experience with containerization and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Kubernetes) - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills - Passion for mentoring and growing a team of talented engineers
