About the role

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our Engineering team this summer! This is a paid internship working 25 hours a week.

JCSA engineers are responsible for the design, construction and administration of capital improvement projects or programs, review and approval of development projects, studies and analyses for water/wastewater systems, and inspection of public and private development and capital improvement projects related to water/wastewater facilities.

Responsibilities

Support the Engineering section assisting with plan reviews, preparing documents such as permit applications, water audits, and other reports; assist with customer notifications, and review shop drawings/submittals for materials.

An intern will have an opportunity to participate in assignments that develop fundamental engineering knowledge related to water/wastewater facilities.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and be a team player.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals, and theory.
