Position: Consultant Name of Assignment:Contextualization of Women Leadership Training Module Reporting Line:Programme Coordinator Location: Patna Duration: 40 days spread over 8 weeks. About Jal Seva Charitable Foundation [WaterAid India] WaterAid India, an associate member of the global WaterAid federation, works in partnership with government institutions at national and state levels. In India, it combines direct programme delivery, policy engagement, and technical assistance to strengthen rural and urban WASH systems. WaterAid India has set itself the goal of enabling 5 million households by 2029 to access climate-resilient and sustainable WASH services, with a focus on reaching the most vulnerable communities. Its approach integrates demonstration models, institutional strengthening, and effective utilisation of public resources. In Bihar, WaterAid India has been partnering with state and local governments across multiple districts to advance safe drinking water, climate-resilient sanitation, and integrated WASH services. As a recognised partner in the Rural WASH Partners Forum (RWPF), it supports the Government of India in the implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin), while deepening its state-level presence through collaborative programmes. Women Leadership Intervention: WaterAid India is rolling out the strategy for engagement of women in the decision-making role of accessing the WASH facilities and services. This strategy aims to improve health, livelihoods, and climate resilience in water-stressed communities. Access to safe, sufficient drinking water affects households in many ways, from health and hygiene practices to economic opportunities. The execution will improve the availability and quality of water through water replenishment and conservation methods such as rainwater harvesting. It will also provide communities with safe drinking water and climate-resilient sanitation and hygiene infrastructure and services. To achieve this goal, the customized training modules have been developed and will be rolled out in 13 interactive sessions spread over in 8 modules. Major Duties & Responsibilities: Assignment Brief: The Consultant will be primarily responsible for contextualizing the 8 training modules of women leadership in context of Bihar Social, Local Self Governance, and WASH-related programs & schemes. The Consultant will work closely with the District Team and State Team within JSCF to conceptualize and contextualize session content and plan already available under the course curriculum, design and develop training material which can be used for program implementation. Key roles include the support in Contextualizing sessions' content and material for training women Undertake a review of the currently available course curriculum developed for women leaders to develop an understanding of the overall objective and framework for the proposed training. Develop session content to incorporate all the domains viz. Self-Management, Communication, Problem Solving & Decision Making, Time & Stress Management, Financial Literacy, WASH, Women in Panchayati Raj and Practical Assignments. Develop and devise innovative and contextual tools/ aids/ methodologies for transaction of the sessions. Support the process of field testing of modules, materials, tools developed on each of the domain. Incorporate modifications/ alterations/ changes in the training content as and when required. Major Deliverable: Hindi version (improvised and contextualized) of the sessions to be rolled out with adolescent girls. Facilitators' guidebook
