Software Engineer - Frontend

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic, forward thinking team helping to develop innovative industry leading systems and solutions. About Us Jacobs are one of largest Enforcement Agencies in England and Wales providing services to over 50% of Local Authorities collecting unpaid Council Tax, Business Rates, Parking Fines and Commercial Rent Arrears and are Approved Enforcement Agency – Wales for HMCTS. Responsibilities Build and own features from start to finish: plan, build, test and deploy Writing clean, readable, maintainable and testable code Developing internal and external systems and products Developing internal processes through automation Investigating new technologies Communicating / liaising effectively with the management team throughout development Ensuring the security and integrity of all systems and data Providing technical assistance to staff as and when needed Continually updating personal technical knowledge to ensure we remain innovative Qualifications 3+ years professional experience working with JavaScript/Typescript development Expertise in React.js Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS (Flexbox, Grid) Experience with Modern JavaScript (async/await, ES6, etc) Proven background in designing, building, and maintaining React/Redux applications Experience using hooks, selectors, memorisation and state management Building automated tests, such as unit tests, integration testing and E2E Git/Version Control CI/CD workflow configuration Skills & Abilities Excellent communication skills Ability to work well under pressure Able to work independently and demonstrate strong autonomy and the initiative to manage tasks and deadlines effectively Initiative to make positive contributions and suggestions within the team A collaborative attitude with a desire to support other team members A creative, problem solving and proactive mindset Extremely high attention to detail Familiarity with agile methodologies such as scrum
