<strong>Job Summary<br></strong><br>
</div><div>The Maintenance Journeyman is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment used in rubber manufacturing operations. This role supports production by ensuring machinery, molds, and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. The position requires a highly skilled, self-directed individual capable of working in a fast-paced, non-union environment with minimal supervision.<br><br>

<strong>Key Responsibilities<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on rubber processing equipment such as mixers, mills, presses, and curing systems </li>
<li>Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues </li>
<li>Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, and control systems to minimize downtime </li>
<li>Maintain and repair molds, tooling, and related production equipment </li>
<li>Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals </li>
<li>Support equipment changeovers, setups, and process adjustments </li>
<li>Perform facility maintenance including HVAC, air compressors, and building systems </li>
<li>Document work performed in maintenance tracking systems (CMMS or manual logs) </li>
<li>Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities </li>
<li>Work closely with production to respond quickly to equipment issues </li>
<li>Maintain compliance with company safety policies and OSHA standards </li>

<strong>Qualifications<br></strong><br>
</div><ul>
<li>Journeyman-level experience in industrial maintenance (certification preferred but not required) </li>
<li>High school diploma or GED; technical training or trade school strongly preferred </li>
<li>3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (rubber, plastics, or similar preferred) </li>
<li>Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills </li>
<li>Experience working in a non-union, team-oriented environment </li>
<li>Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed </li>

<li>Strong hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic ability </li>
<li>Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment</li>
<li>Familiarity with hydraulic systems </li>
<li>Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment </li>
<li>Strong communication and teamwork skills </li>
<li>Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency </li>
