The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing all inbound and outbound warehouse activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods. This role supports production and customer fulfillment by maintaining inventory accuracy, scheduling carriers, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned. Individual will work a varied schedule based on client needs.
- Coordinate daily outbound shipments of finished goods to customers, distributors, and transfer locations
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation (packing lists, invoices, COAs as required)
- Schedule freight carriers and manage dock appointments as needed
- Ensure shipments meet customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements
- Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues to internal teams and customers as needed
- Receive and inspect inbound raw materials, packaging, and supplies for accuracy and condition
- Verify purchase orders, packing slips, and delivery documentation
- Enter receipts into the ERP system in a timely and accurate manner
- Coordinate disposition of damaged, short, or incorrect shipments
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper transactions and documentation
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories when needed
- Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, and regulatory requirements (FDA/USDA if applicable)
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping for audits and inspections
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school;
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training;
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
