Research Associate - J-PAL South Asia

The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a global research center working to reduce poverty by ensuring that policy is informed by scientific evidence. J-PAL was launched at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2003 and has regional offices in Africa, Europe, Latin America & the Caribbean, North America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. J-PAL South Asia, hosted by the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) in Chennai, India, is looking to hire a Research Associate to support its research and policy engagement work in the areas of poverty alleviation, social protection, and financial inclusion. The Research Associate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and management of randomized evaluations, policy outreach and communications, and capacity building initiatives. Key responsibilities: - Provide technical and administrative support to ongoing randomized evaluations, including field work, data management, and analysis. - Assist with the preparation of research reports, policy briefs, and other publications. - Support the planning and implementation of capacity building workshops and training programs. - Participate in policy outreach and stakeholder engagement activities. - Contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts. - Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
