About the role

You'll be working with a team of developers to enable iwoca's growth through seamless customer payments and reliable financial data The Finance tech team works closely with our CFO, Head of Capital Markets and Financial Operations Lead Our team's mission is to enable growth through seamless customer payments and reliable financial data. Frictionless payments are core to iwoca's excellent customer service Financial data is used by Finance, other business stakeholders as well as investors, so it is crucial it is up-to-date and accurate The Finance tech team has a Tech Lead and six developers, predominantly back-end, although we have been becoming more full-stack this year. We follow Agile-inspired processes, using continuous integration and delivery, so that features go live in days or weeks, not months or years Gather, shape and prioritise roadmap items, feature requests and maintenance needs Act as the main point of contact for business stakeholders to make sure that the team and the business stay aligned on progress and goals Define and communicate the strategic direction and goals for an engineering team Collaborate with engineers to break down complex technical challenges into manageable components. Facilitate effective problem-solving within the team, fostering agility and adaptability Work with stakeholders and engineers to craft comprehensive product and feature requirement documents that align business objectives and user needs Plan, scope, and deliver projects, managing intermediate milestones and removing blockers Set clear goals and work with the engineers in the team to balance delivery responsibility across the team Ensure the quality of delivery, by following up post-release to proactively find and resolve bugs Work with business stakeholders to track success metrics and evaluate the impact of projects after they have concluded so that we can constantly learn from what we deliver Track and report on key performance indicators to understand our system health. Use this to work with engineers to identify and scope work to improve system health and scalability Payment providers: We will be integrating several new payment partners to facilitate payments to and from our customers. Each new partner requires collaboration with stakeholders across the business, including finance, compliance, and operations teams. Delivery will involve shaping the requirements, planning milestones, user testing and keeping the wider business up to date with progress Reconciliation: In order to increase our Finance team's operational efficiency as we scale our reconciliation system requires updating. Work on this system requires diving into our analytics to find areas of improvement, working with finance to align on new features to build and monitoring changes over time Loan features: We have new loan product features planned, building on previous additions like revenue-based repayments, interest-only periods, and government guarantees. The Finance tech team is responsible for core operations of all products: repayment schedules, money movements and financial reporting
