Job title: ITSM Configuration Manager (HAM)

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
7+ years of experience in ITSM, CMDB, or Hardware Asset Management roles.
Strong understanding of ITIL framework (ITIL certification preferred).
Hands-on experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar platforms.
Experience managing enterprise-level hardware asset lifecycle processes.
Knowledge of asset discovery tools and data reconciliation processes.
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
Oversee Hardware Asset Management (HAM) lifecycle including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance, and disposal.
Implement and enforce ITIL-based configuration management processes and governance.
Conduct regular audits and reconciliation of hardware assets against CMDB records.
Collaborate with IT teams (Infrastructure, Network, Security, Service Desk) to ensure proper configuration item (CI) relationships and updates.
Manage asset compliance including software licensing, warranty tracking, and vendor contracts.
Develop and maintain asset policies, standards, and documentation.
Generate reports and dashboards related to asset inventory, compliance, lifecycle status, and risk exposure.
Support incident, problem, and change management processes by ensuring accurate CI mapping.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ITSM and asset management processes.
