Role Description This is a full-time, on-site ITI Fitter role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. The ITI Fitter will install, assemble, and maintain mechanical components used in automation systems, conveyors, welding fixtures, and related machinery. Responsibilities include reading and interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, fitting and aligning mechanical parts, and assisting in machine commissioning and routine maintenance. The role involves working closely with engineers and technicians on shop-floor fabrication, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met. The ITI Fitter will also support continuous improvement activities and contribute to efficient, reliable operation of industrial equipment.
Qualifications
- ITI Fitter certification from a recognized institute, with strong knowledge of fitting practices, tools, and workshop safety.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams, and basic engineering sketches.
- Hands-on skills in measuring, cutting, drilling, grinding, and assembling mechanical components and structures.
- Experience in installation and maintenance of industrial machinery, such as conveyors, fixtures, and basic automation equipment.
- Understanding of mechanical alignment, tolerances, fasteners, and use of precision instruments (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers).
- Basic knowledge of welding, fabrication, and material handling will be an advantage.
- Ability to work safely in a shop-floor/industrial environment and follow standard operating procedures and quality guidelines.
- Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, with readiness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Prior experience in industrial automation, robotics, or manufacturing setups in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad region is preferred.
