Role Description
The Italy Student Visa Officer is a remote contract role responsible for guiding and assisting students through the Italian student visa application process. This includes reviewing application materials, providing personalized guidance, helping students navigate visa requirements, and troubleshooting immigration-related issues. The role also involves responding to inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with immigration policies and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Italy visa processes and immigration requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused approach to assisting and supporting students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide clear and accurate guidance.
- Prior experience in customer service or dealing with immigration issues is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a remote, contract-based work environment.
- Proficiency in Italian is a plus, but not required.
What You'll Do
Conduct an initial thorough review of each student's profile and advise them clearly on required documentation from Day 1. Prepare, review, and quality-check all visa documents with precision — ensuring everything is accurate, complete, and correctly formatted before submission. Guide students step-by-step through the entire process, explaining what is happening and why at every stage, in plain and reassuring language. Book and manage VFS Global appointments for students, handling scheduling, rescheduling, and any complications that arise. Track every open case actively and follow up proactively — students should never have to chase you for an update. Handle student queries with empathy and speed, maintaining availability for daily support across all communication channels. Stay continuously updated on any changes in Italy student visa procedures, consular requirements, and VFS protocols. Maintain clean, organized, and up-to-date records of all cases in our internal system. Support students through any unforeseen issues, deficiencies, or delays — with solutions, not excuses.
