Role Description
This full-time, on-site position is based in Mumbai. The Italian Chef will be responsible for preparing authentic Italian dishes with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards. Key responsibilities include menu planning, sourcing premium ingredients, ensuring food presentation meets brand guidelines, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards. The chef will collaborate with the team to develop and introduce new dishes, train kitchen staff, and ensure a consistent dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cooking and preparing authentic Italian cuisine, including pasta, pizza, and traditional dishes
- Experience in menu planning and creating recipes that prioritize flavor and presentation
- Knowledge of sourcing high-quality, fresh ingredients, and maintaining food safety standards
- Ability to lead and train kitchen staff, foster collaboration, and maintain a positive team environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage a dynamic kitchen environment
- Understanding of inventory management and cost control practices
- Previous experience in a similar role within the culinary industry
- Culinary certification or relevant training in Italian cuisine is a plus
