IT Trainer - Cyber Security

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cyber Security Trainer to deliver comprehensive training programs for students, professionals, and corporate clients. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in cyber security, network security, ethical hacking, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, security operations, and incident response, along with excellent communication and presentation skills.
The trainer will deliver practical, industry-focused training through real-world scenarios, hands-on labs, case studies, and security projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instructor-led online, classroom, and corporate training sessions on Cyber Security.
- Design, develop, and regularly update training materials, presentations, assignments, and hands-on lab exercises.
- Train learners on:
- Cyber Security Fundamentals

- Ethical Hacking
- Penetration Testing
- Vulnerability Assessment
- Web Application Security
- Operating System Security
- Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
- Security Operations Center (SOC) Concepts
- Incident Response and Threat Management
- Digital Forensics Fundamentals
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Cloud Security Fundamentals
- Security Risk Management
- Cyber Security Tools and Technologies
- Conduct practical sessions using simulated environments, security labs, and real-world cyber security scenarios.
- Guide learners through end-to-end Cyber Security projects and case studies.
- Assess learners through quizzes, assignments, practical exercises, security assessments, and mock interviews.
- Provide mentoring, career guidance, and interview preparation for Cyber Security and SOC roles.
- Stay updated with the latest cyber threats, security technologies, tools, frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the training team to continuously improve course content and learner outcomes.
Required Technical Skills

- Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, malware, phishing, ransomware, and attack techniques.
- Familiarity with security frameworks, policies, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related field.
- Cyber Security certifications are preferred.
Experience
- 2-5 years of experience in Cyber Security, Information Security, SOC operations, penetration testing, or technical training.
- Prior experience as a Cyber Security Trainer is preferred.
- Experience working in SOC, security consulting, IT security, or cybersecurity organizations is an added advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with any of the following certifications or equivalent expertise are preferred:
- CompTIA Security+
- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- CompTIA CySA+
- CISSP
- CISM
- OSCP
- AWS / Azure Security Certifications
- Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or similar tools
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK
