Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on IT Systems Engineer to support end-user computing and IT operations for our India office. This role focuses on delivering reliable day-to-day support, managing devices, and maintaining a secure, efficient environment. You will also provide light, after-hours support for US users (during India business hours) as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy desktops, laptops, and workstations (Windows and macOS)
- Provide first- and second-line support for hardware, software, and access issues
- Configure, manage, support, and troubleshoot Windows 11 and macOS environments
- Manage user accounts, identity, and access controls across systems
- Perform device management, imaging, and endpoint deployment using modern tools
- Troubleshoot login, MFA, VPN, email, and access-related issues
- Support onboarding/offboarding (accounts, permissions, device provisioning)
- Troubleshoot printers and peripheral devices
- Provide basic support for Linux systems
- Use scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and administration
- Provide occasional support for US users during their off-hours (primarily access-related issues)
Networking & Infrastructure
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPN, connectivity)
- Support Wi-Fi access points, patching, and cabling
- Assist with firewall access and connectivity issues
- Escalate complex issues as needed
Operational Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent IT support during India business hours
- Monitor and resolve user access and authentication issues
- Manage and update tickets in the IT service management system
- Maintain asset inventory and documentation
- Ensure systems meet patching and security standards
- Collaborate with global IT teams on support and projects
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in IT support or systems roles
- Hands-on experience with{{:}}
- Windows 11 and macOS (configuration, management, troubleshooting)
- User identity and access management concepts
- Device management and endpoint deployment tools
- Experience with remote support tools
- Working knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell)
- Basic understanding of Linux systems
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Experience with hardware, printer, and end-user support
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-office or global environment
- Familiarity with MFA, SSO, and access control best practices
- Experience with IT service management tools (e.g., ticketing systems)
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Apple, CompTIA, etc.)
